How long does it take your body to get used to Nexplanon?

When you introduce hormones into your body, it can take a few months to adjust. If side effects don’t improve after six months, you should talk with your health care provider.

What to expect when you first get Nexplanon?

You may have some swelling, bruising, or discoloration for up to two weeks. Try not to bump the place where the Nexplanon was put in for a few days. You may return to school or work after your visit. You can go back to normal daily activities immediately after the Nexplanon has been put in.
